Trail Conditions: Mt Percival Trail to summit of Mt Percival was dry with easy walking. No issues with water crossings. Couple very short muddy spots were easily traversed.

Crawford-Ridgepole Trail between Mts Percival and Morgan had significant portions of the trail that were muddy, snowy or both. Snow is very soft. No monorail happening at all up there.

From Mt Morgan to Mt Webster, specifically after the divergence of the Mt Morgan Trail, was more muddy and more snowy. Only we and the post-holing moose had been there in quite awhile, from the looks of things.

Mt Webster to Cotton Mountain, then down Cotton Mtn Trail - dry, Autumn-like conditions. Lots of leaves in the trail. Dry and piled up. Watch your footing!

As Silverfox mentioned in an earlier post, the trail between the gravel pit and Rt 113 on the Cotton Mtn Trail is completely flooded. About shin-deep. ;)

Special Equipment Required: Despite the grumbling we did about the snow, I don't think snowshoes would have really worked better. The snow patches were so scattered that it would have required us to take them off and put them back on dozens of times. Poles were handy for making it safely across some wet spots.

Comments: We couldn't believe the diversity of conditions that we saw in just a few miles.
