Long walk from Rte 16 on snowo and missed turn.
Whacked up to old road that goes to col, through logged over area.
By boundary line aways then back and found it.
Followed it about quarter mile then headed for top (about another 1/3 mile). Nothing to thick and open on summit.
Wandered around about 5 minutes then found cannister. Last entry was 11-1-09.
Followed "correct" way back down, breaking trail the 1.7 miles back to snomo. Was sinking in 6" - 8" with 30" snowshoes.
About 12.5 miles covered in 7 hrs 45 minutes.
Had done this a few years ago with Marc & Kyle, which was my first non-solo NEHH.
JUST Hamlin & Baxter to go as a long day hike...sometime
