TRAILS: Garfield, Garfield Ridge, Frost, Gale River

TRAIL CONDITIONS: WET. WET. WET. Major tree drippage on way up. Water crossings passable (easier with poles).

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: We brought crocs, water shoes, and spikes. Didn't use any of them. By the time we needed the footwear, boots were already soaked.

COMMENTS:

Tricky spot coming down Garfield Ridge Trail from junction. Trail ended and went down over the rocks (along with the water). We just took our time, and once we got down that section realized it wasn't as bad as it looked from up above.

Lots of slush everywhere.

Waded through shin deep water on Frost Trail on the way to Galehead.

Reroute on Gale River Trail extremely muddy.
