Does it exist? A visit to the local Mac store was not encouraging.

I use a Garmin e-Trex Vista w/ 8mb of memory.

Not currently, but Garmin has announced that they will release a product for the Mac. You should be able to find details at http://www.garmin.com , probably under the news releases.

The eTrex Vista has 24MB of memory. (The eTrex Legend has 8 MB.)

National Geographic Topo! software runs on my Mac and talks just fine to my original series eTrex GPS using a USB-to-serial adapter and the eTrex's computer cable.
