Headed in for a short trip to Greeley Pond, you can not go in via the normal trail from the Kanc, as the stream took out all snow bridges and the water is moving fast. Did not want to get wet rock hopping on ice under two to three inches of water.
We ended up walking in on the cross country ski trail, it is bare bootable, went down to lower pond had lunch and came back out. On the way home I wanted to check out the trail to Mt. Morgan walked in some but turned around and went over to Rattlesnake, lots of parking now with the addition of a parking lot across the road.
Trail is bare bootable. We didn't see anyone on either trail. I am sure with the new snow Rattlesnake will now have some slick spots on it and will need light trax.
Overall a great day to be out.
