Went in Zealand Road early Sunday morning. At the Hut found out hikers broke out to Zeacliff yesterday in 3 hours but not beyond! Figured I could at least break more of the trail. Trail was hard to follow on the pretty open ridge so did make a couple short mistakes til it was readily apparent. GPS read 8.8 and a short steep drop came up. Figured that was enough and headed back. On the way I met an older guy headed for Zealand. Told him I hadn't gotten there and wished him luck! A ways further a younger guy headed there...he'd done the Pemi-loop last weekend so I'm quite sure it's broken to Zealand now.
