Hale via Zealand Rd. and Hale Brook Trail 12/28/11

Trail Conditions: 3 inches of snow on Zealand Road. Snow depth increases to about 6 inches near Hale summit.

Special Equipment Needed: Barebooted road on way in. Switched to microspikes on Hale Brook Trail. Could have barebooted.

Comments: Trail in good shape, thanks in part to a hiker (Craig) who was doing some light trail maintenance/cutting.
