Got a late start Friday. Went up Osseo and stayed at Liberty Springs. Some snow but easy going. Weather was summer like. Saturday went across Franconia and Garfield Ridges and out the Franconia Brook Trail. Long day. Fair amount of snow coming off Garfield but "good" boots will do. Part of trail after snow was a rapidly moving stream.
Gear Notes: Took my new Osprey Atmos 65 out for the first time. Highly recommend it. My 21 year old Raichle boots finally had enough. The soles under the toes of both boots separated from the upper boot. Had to tie the laces underneath and up the boot for 11 miles. One trip too many!
