Great Link. What is the mountain range behind the view of Paul Smiths College. Is it Lyon?

Years ago I had a friend who ran one of the State fish hatcheries and I got to go up in the State chopper to drop fish. The views from a helicopter are unbelievable. I got to go into some really remote regions of the Adirondacks. If anyone gets a chance to go up in a helicopter in the Adirondacks, take advantage of it. You will not regret it.

I've always wanted to do this in the Whites. Whenever I drive by the airport in Whitefield I cant help but think that some pilot would be willing to take me up for an hour or two for $100 or so. Now if only I could find an extra $100...

Lyon Mountain would, I believe, be more distant. I'm guessing the high point is Loon Lake Mountain.
