Date of Hike: 1/10/10

Trail Conditions: 1-2' snow down low, 2-3' snow up high -- very fluffy. Trail broken out nice to Lean-to (looks like most people use Devil's Path to go to SW Hunter) then we broke out the trail to Hunter summit. On the way out (same trail) some yokels postholed so it's not packed down as nice as it could.

Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes, brain, usual winter gear.

Comments: Nice day. Most people don't take this trail to go to Hunter and presumably take Becker Hollow was that one was broken out like a super highway. The other trail (Spruceton?) did not appear to be broken out. Otherwise it was cold (5-10 F or so near the summit) but not as cold as the Whites which is sorta why we chose to go to the Catskills. But, you get the great Catskill views through the trees in Winter time which is nice. Good to get out and stretch the hiking legs.
