Trails: Rocky Branch, bushwhack, Isolation, bushwhack, Davis Path, Spur
Conditions: Thanks to Bryan et al. for breaking out the trail the previous day. Though, as he mentions in his thread, in many places the track had been obliterated by windblown snow, even for our own return trip. I lost the track numerous times and had to keep re-finding the trail. The depth of the windblown snow and the length of the obliterated sections of trail increased with altitude. The track for the Isolation Trail along the Rocky Branch avoids all but the last crossing, which had a good, solid ice bridge, and was easy.
Equipment: Snowshoes necessary. Good trail dogs recommended.
