Trails: Tuckerman's to Huntington's Ravine to Alpine Garden to Wamsutta, to 6 Husbands, to Gulf Side (skipped summit of Jefferson) to Clay, to Washington, down Tuckerman's.

Conditions: All trails in excellent condition. Crossing the stream at the bottom of the ravine near the start of 6 husband's wasn't obvious, but was managed by going up stream a bit and then back to the trail. There are no trail markers on 6 Husband's until cairns above the tree line. Most of the time the way is quite obvious, but a couple times we had to follow our noses to figure out where the trail went. There are 2 very small cairns shortly before the ladder section that help.

Bugs: Some black flies throughout, but we don't usually stop for long, so they weren't too bothersome. Most seen on top of Clay.

Comments: It was car rally day on Washington Toll Road, and cars not associated with the rally weren't allowed up. Therefore the only people milling about at the top were hikers and the train customers, so it was fairly quiet at the top, and while some may not like the zoo that can occur at the top of the mountain, I must say that my bowl of vegetarian chili, bought at the restaurant, went down VERY well towards the tail end of a long hiking day.
