Date of Hike: January 5, 2012
Trail Conditions: A few inches as you work up Lonesome Lake trail up gradually increasing to 6" or so on Kinsman Ridge. All is well packed. Plenty of ice flows on Fishin' Jimmy and on a few sections of Kinsman Ridge.
Special Equipment Required: I used MicroSpikes and Crampons (see trip report for detail). Others were bare booting or Yack Tracking. Snow shoes would be a bit much as it's still rock in places.
Comments: Snow's not overly deep but it's getting there. I wasn't aware they had replaced the shelter at Kinsman Pond with one like Imp. Quite nice.
