From what I have read
On September 7th, Travis Wildeboer, from Winter Park, Colorado set out to tackle Vermont's Long Trail in Unsupported fashion going after Demetri "Coup" Coupounas Co-founder of GoLite record which stands at 12 days, 19 hours, and 53 minutes.
Per an update from his wife on a blog:
Hello everyone!
At 11:22 MST I received a picture text from JB with Travis at the Southern Terminus of the Long Trail. I had been waiting all day for this message! Got to talk to Travis briefly. His finishing time was 6 days 17 hours and 25 minutes! Can't wait to hear the stories and see the pictures!
Travis already holds the unsupported record for the Superior Hiking Trail (205 miles in 4 days 15 hours 20 minutes) in May of 2009.
