Spikes are a necessity. Bare ground (or nearly bare) to start, with ice and snow building up the higher you go. Some areas of the trail are coated with ice, and the steeper sections require care coming down. The summit is snow covered, and as of today I only saw one set of tracks on Dublin. We saw several other people doing Marlboro, and the trail is clear and easy to follow.
The road into Marlboro (not maintained in the winter) is passable, but there are some very deep puddles, and I wish I had my truck instead of my car. I never bottomed out, but I was worried about getting stuck in the puddles. Use caution!
