Mt. Hale
-Little River Road to the end / parking area; room for a dozen cars or so; nicely plowed after recent storm
-Winter foot path
-North Twin Trail
-Former Mt. Hale Trail (aka Fire Warden's Trail)
There was a good foot of new snow up there. A group of four were heading up to No. Twin, and kindly broke out the first couple of miles of trail. Our group broke out the Mt. Hale Trail to the summit. We could barely see any evidence of old tracks... but if we stepped off the line, we knew it right away, as we'd sink deep or fall down!
I hadn't been up that trail in a couple of winters; the trail is being maintained and brushed out, and was a lot easier to follow and hike than I remember it being a few years back.
Snowshoes in and out.
