Date of hike: Sat 3/7/09
Trail: Liberty Spring Trail to Franconia Ridge Trail to Mt Liberty
Conditions: Trail completely broken out. Slightly soft, spring-like snow down low and a little firmer up top. Some small streams easily stepped over. Windy on top but no need for hardshell or goggles today. I heard a few people headed over to Mt Flume so that may be broken out as well - not sure.
Equipment: Snowshoes helpful but not essential. Almost everyone was wearing them but did see a few people bareboot successfully. Carried crampons but didn't need them eventhough the summit was slightly icy in spots.
Notes: Nice warm day with clear 360 degree views. Great hike.
