Did Mt. Washington via Jewell trail Monday-Tuesday
Monday morning started sunny but turned to clouds in afternoon.
A fair amount of Postholing on Jewell trail, some areas well packed, others fairly slushy. Should have used snow shoes the entire way but ended up putting them on at alpine mark.
I wore micros but my friend bare-booted to alpine mark. Traction wasn't really an issue. No issues w/ water or stream crossings. Coming down Tuesday (the 6th) was a little icy at 5300+ feet then turned to slushy/packed snow that was fairly easy going. Would have been better if it wasn't pouring rain!
Gear Recommended: Snow Shoes & Gaiters as its getting pretty messy up there. Don't think crampons were necessary although couldn't hurt.
