The Pinkham Notch parking lots were full by 8 AM, had to park at the overflow lot which we were greatful was 1/2 empty.

Tuckerman trail up to Hermit Shelter was dry, very nice. Lots of people but great energy all around. I don't remember seeing a 200' waterfall too often in the past off of the headwall. It was a beautiful site but made the rocks a little slick on the steep sections. Because of this we opted for a different route down.

Took Boot Spur down which was great. Very few people, no bugs. Some deep mud and standing water in a few sections. Stairs in good shape. All in all it was a great day.

We have all heard "be prepared for all weather conditions" and this is always true on Mt. Washington. Weather report called for sunny skies but alas it was 41 degrees at the summit, lots of fog. 1/4 mile visability wasn't too bad. We used our winter gloves for a bit. Lots of people had on winter hats and coats.

Great day! Thanks Gerry for the great company!
