The Livermore and Pine Ridge trail were clear of blowdowns. Scaur Ridge had a few blowdowns but they were not too difficult to bypass. Lauky took my breath away :eek:at one of those bypasses when without the slightest hesitation he suddenly left the ground with a chest high leap over a branch he could easily have passed under, I honestly didn't know he could jump so high.

The last 400 vertical feet of the the Pine Ridge trail up North Tripyramid is a very steep ledgy trail. Other than that, pretty much the entire trail system that we took today is unusually smooth underfoot, not at all bony as most of the White Mt. trails tend to be. The entire section of Livermore Rd that we took today is very smooth.

The snow is completely gone. Not a sign or a trace anywhere. Winter is now officially done, done, done. :) The air was cool with plenty of wind especially at altitude. The only time we saw any bugs at all was when we arrived back at the trailhead. They were swarming but not biting.

The trails were very dry. Not too many places for a dog to drink. The stream crossings for the north and south slides looked to be quite doable. The route that we took has no significant stream crossings.

We made very good time today, well under book time and we weren't really pushing it. It was just clear sailing.
