Conditions: Couple inches of snow over thick ice. The snow at elevation was crusty, less so down lower.
Equipment: Foot traction.
Comments: Wishing for something more, but unable to rise and shine with the morning sun, I set my sights on North Pack Monadnock. There were no cars parked at the trail head and a sign warned not to park on the pavement. As I could see others had parked (but were perhaps towed?) and the trail had fresh footsteps, I decided not to worry about it. It was the perfect trail to try out my new Hillsound Pros. Met a young couple near the top as I was coming down, but otherwise had the trail to myself. Saw one other car at the Carolyn's Trail trailhead.
