My other thought for Columbus Day is Chocorua-- again, a two night trip. I'm not familiar with the area at all, so I'm looking for ideas. I'd like to keep the pace very easy for my 7-year old--- 3 or 4 miles per day.
Ideally we'd stay in tents rather than shelters, and I'd really like to have both night's locations figured out in advance. A loop would be nice, but alternatively a nice backcountry campsite and a day loop up to the top of the mountain might be even better...
I have looked at Chocorua for years now and I've never been there, and now I think both kids are up to it.....
Any ideas for me? Thanks!
