The trail was packed the entire way to the summit. It was icy most of the way, higher up there was some fluffy snow. Traction is required. I did the whole trip with stabilicers. Crampons would have been nicer on a few steep spots like the chimney but I made do with the stabilicers. My dog had no issues the entire trip, he ran right up the chimney.
