Well broken trail from Black Pond to Lincoln Br. Tr.. The Lincoln Tr. was broken until the 2nd stream crossing where the trail just ended. We continued on and saw evidence of someone going up about 300' after the stream crossing. Saw no evidence of a slide and continued further down the tr.. We climbed about 300' elevation and traversed hoping to find a trail or slide. With no luck we decided to bushwack to the top, but the snow was waist deep and very steep. Challenging and exhausting we turned around around 4:00 to reach the Lincoln Br. before dark. Still not sure where the slide is, but I think we just didn't go far enough on the Lincoln Br. Tr. Still a beautiful day in the mountains, temps were in the 20's. Blue skies in the A.M. snow in the afternoon, back to clear skies. Camped out with a billion stars.
