Went for a quick hike up Peekamoose on Sat. The snow level is now at around 3100-3200' (just a bit past recon rock). Once encountered, the snow was a consistent depth of 1-2' of hard packed snow. Even with the warm weather I was able to bareboot to the summit with very minimal postholing. Stepping off the trail however resulted in me sinking up to my knees in almost all cases. Enjoy it while it lasts!
