Saturday with 5 friends from Quebec I done the traverse and in the group
Danny,Karl,Rejean,Gina,Pascal,Martin.

All week long we follow the weather and I was not sure if we will be able to
attemp the traverse. Friday morning the weather report was very good and
we where ready for the traverse. We meet at Crawford Notch at 4:00 am and
it was -19C, we let 2 cars and we drive to Appalachia parking lots, on our
drive their the weather was between -25C and -18 C. Soo at 4:45 am we
start our hike on Valley way witch was well broke. At around 7:00 am we where at Madison hut and we add some piece of clothes and switch our
snowshoes for our crampons. It was cold and after only 15 minutes we where
all cold. We went for the Madison summits and the wind was around 40 mph.
We went down and took our pack and we continued for Adams. We follow
the snowfield until Adams where it was not cold and the wind was under
10 mph. The view was great and on the horizon the Atlantic Ocean was
there.

From Adams we went down and on Gulf side trail we follow the snowfield and
the weather was warmer and warmer. Soo we all put back our extra clothes
face mask in our pack. It was around -7C and the wind and very calm. We made it to Jefferson and again not cold, we continued until the col between
Jefferson and Clay where we eat our lunch. After the lunch we continued
for Clay and Washington. At 1:15 pm we where on mt washington and one
fox was their with lots of hiker. No wind at all and it was -2C. After lots of
picture we went for Munroe-Eiseinhower-Pierce and we used Crawford Path
until Crawford Notch. We finish at 6:15 pm.

The weather was great and not lots of snow on the ridge, all day we hike
with our Crampons on snow, rocks, ice. We add more snow on Valley way and
on Crawford Path going down. Another great day in the mountain with great
friend...
