Trails: 19-Mile Brook, Carter Dome, Carter Moriah, North Carter, Imp, Camp Dodge Cutoff, Rt 16

Parking: Nineteen-MIle Brook was almost full when we arrived at 9:30. There were a few cars parked along 16 when we returned.

Conditions: Friday's rain thoroughly soaked the trails creating a number of annoyances/hazards. The two crossings on the 19-Mile Brook and Carter Dome Trails were doable, but tricky. The water was running high, and the rocks were slippery. We used poles for both. A few spots on Imp Trail that had received some afternoon sun and were merely damp. However, wet and slippery rocks, wet and slippery bog bridges, wet and slippery leaves, lots of mud, lots of standing water, and lots of running water were the name of the game. We had no problems ascending, but descending was quite annoying. J slipped while descending the S. Carter summit, and there were a a few other close calls on N. Carter and Imp Trails.

Comments: It was cloudy at first, but the weather cleared up past S. Carter giving us some nice views from the open areas past M. Carter. Nice views of the Presidentials from the woods along the Imp Trail.
