This is random timing but I saw the name pop up in this site's related threads and the thread was in 2023.

In 2015, I decided to treat my post- divorce malaise by upping my hiking game from an occasional jaunt up Monadnock to the White Mountains. I found his website, it was perfect.

Dr. Ellozy, if you see this, thank you for your hard work.
Even with GPS apps and Google Earth, just yesterday I referred to the site on Github, just to see if I remembered the distance for a Presi traverse right.

Mohammed was a inspration to me when I was a new AMC trip leader over twenty years ago. I still remember an important lesson from him - Your trip is based upon certain assumptions (weather, terrain, participant cooperation, etc.). Be cognizant of these and reevaluate the objective of your trip if any of the assumptions are no longer valid.

I think his account of the ill fated winter Bonds trip pretty well shut down the Hellgate brook option for most ;)

Dave appears to have pulled the plug on Hike the Whites
