Date of Hike: 1/27
Up by Avalon Tr (via Mt. Avalon), Willey Range Tr, Mt. Tom Spur
Down by A-Z Tr, Avalon Tr.
Trail Conditions: All well packed down, no postholes, no ice. A few inches of new snow. The spur to Mt. Avalon was not packed down and we didn't hiked it either.
Special Equipment Required: We used snowshoes all the way, and it was perfect. Crampons would have worked too. We saw some people barebooted on the A-Z Trail (near Mt Tom), but it is quite steep. I would recommend some traction device.
Comments: Lot of people going down !
