Umbagog..off season

I see that the campground, with full facilities, runs from May 26 to Oct 8th.
Does anyone know if that's the same season for the remote sites..and if so
do you know what people do for the off season remote (canoe/kayaking) camping there??

I have wondered that myself. I would guess that if you park at the Errol Dam and paddle out,you would be pretty much on your own. Can't see how the state can close a remote campsite. I can't see the park ranger patrolling by boat,looking for "stealth campers".
