Trail Conditions: Great! All nine crossings of Downes Brooks were easy and dry, in spite of all the rain. It gets a little rough near the top; though some would prolly say its terrible and needs major work, I disagree: I love it just the way it is, and that short section was definitely a highlight. Kate Sleeper and Rollins Trails are also good- with a really impressive piece of work clearing out a terrible mess on Rollins, going down the ridge north of Whiteface.
Comments: Great day in the woods, with some fine views and weather (no rain!). Got a better workout than I was expecting- especially right at the top of Passaconaway; that's got to be the longest 0.6 miles in The Whites, down from the summit to the Walden Trail!
