Date Hiked: 9/22/08
Conditions: Just a little mud near the start of the trail, and close to the summit. Otherwise the trail is in excellent condition. The Elm Ridge lean-to was clean and in good shape.
Special Required Equipment: Camera for the views.
Comments: There is still an ample supply of blackberries above the Norway Spruce plantations ("spooky forest") as the trail nears the summit. Nice views and some very early fall foliage was noted.
