Date of Hike: 7/2/2008
Trail Conditions: Trail is on good shape. One blowdown on the ground. A couple mud patches, but not much. Bugs not bad enough to need any DEET. Only parking for a couple cars at trailhead. Sandwich Notch Road has some washouts and I was glad to have high clearance vehicle.
Special Equipment Required: Sunblock and a camera. Lots of open ledges exposing you to the sun.
Comments: My first time up this trail. A beautiful way to Sandwich Dome. Lot of views from exposed ledges. Fun scrambles up steep ledges. Lot of flora and fauna. Passed two solo hikers and a couple. More than I expected for this trail on a Wednesday.
