For the ascent at 8:00 am the trail was a path of crusty, hard snow. One small blowdown to cross over and all water crossings a passable. We wore microspikes but could have been bare booted with some care taken to go around icy spots. On the descent, snow was starting to get soft. Not much snow left and this will change rapidly over the next week or so.
