Trails: Reel Brook, Kinsman Ridge
Conditions: Frozen granular, getting soft in the afternoon. Barebooting possible for first mile, then snowshoes recommended. Snow bridges over stream crossings still holding, but probably not for much longer. No blowdowns.
Comments: KRT, heading toward Kinsman peaks, not broken from junction with RBT. Snowmobile tracks meet the KRT just beneath the powerline and are OK to follow for about a half-mile if you miss the KRT proper as it heads into the woods after the powerline. After the half-mile, though, you need to veer toward Eliza Brook to reach the shelter.
Right now, the KRT is very difficult to follow from its junction with the RBT to the EB shelter. Blazes are few and far between and there are no tracks to follow.
