Parked at Smugglers Notch picnic area and picked up the Long Trail north. The weather was great with an occasional passing cloud. The temp was perfect for a climb up the
notch. The trail was in good condition with slight puddles that would not be an issue.
The views to Mt. Mansfield were fantastic. Snow patches and bugs were not a problem.
Got to Spruce Peak and had lunch at the top of the chairlift. What a day of views!
Walked down the ski trails to the base lodge and walked back on Rt 108 to the picnic area.
It was a good day.
