Flume via Lincoln Woods
Date of Hike: 1/30/10
Trail Conditions: Painfully obvious conditions: nicely packed trail, zero ice etc. Area with ladders fairly packed with hard snow now. Little Gully right below the summit of flume has loose to packed snow but no ice in it...
Special Equipment Required: Usual winter gear... snowshoes etc. Crampons didn't appear necessary but saw people wearing them.
Comments: The forecast looked horrible... -20F or something and wind. Instead it was calm and very sunny -- felt warm and extremely comfortable the whole day including on the summit. My brother-in-law's (Jim) first 4K in Winter. Great day for hiking.
