Most of the trails were snow free, but a few in the deep valleys had patches of rotten ice on the trail. The Eastern side trails near the swamps had significant mud patches and parts that were underwater. The Western (and higher elevation) trails were much drier. Water crossings were all easily crossed despite the abundance of melting snow and ice.
