Both Parker Ridge Trail and Little Jackson Trail are very dry and mostly easy to follow. There are places in the col where the trail seems to almost disappear (lack of use so far this year?) and care should be taken to stay on the trail.
Very windy at the summit (so windy that Jeff lost all of his hair). Beautiful spring flowers just starting to bloom. Great day! It was nice to see lots of hikers out. No bugs at all. Very little mud on the trails.
Approx 3.5 miles to the summit of Little Jackson (approx 3400') via Parker Ridge Trail. Descended via Little Jackson Trail, an easy way down back to the trailhead.
