Trail Conditions: a couple of inches of fresh sort snow on the bike path coming down from Basin . Took the bushwack through a couple of inches of fresh snow to Liberty Spring Trail. Liberty Springs packed out with the usual wet and open spots. Some substantial ice in the steeps but over all good going. Franconia Ridge Trail over to Flume had a couple of inches of snow on a packed based..easy going as well with little ice along the ridge. Main water crossing has an ice bridge with open water showing..other water crossings hoppable with no issues

Equipment: microspikes were perfect today..while I suppose you could have used snowshoes along the ridge it would have been severe overkill and bony

Comments: nice day out though views were limited a bit as we were right at cloud line. Not a breath of wind to be found..oops ..neglected date in title..this hike was sunday 12/19
