trails: main trail, major-straighback trail, quarry cut-off, quarry trail, klem-mack trail, belknap range trail, brook trail

conditions: trails were in typical shape for the belknaps. seems to be a bit more erosion low on the main trail to major, but otherwise no real signs of water damage from the recent weather. we removed many blowdowns all along the route, but most of them were older so if that is representative of the whole range it fared pretty well on sunday. for the most part the trails were well marked and easy to follow with the exception of the quarry trail particularly from the cut-off to east quarry. though blazed, it is quite grown in and obscure in spots with numerous diverging paths and logging cuts. expect your bare legs to look like you've been hiking off trail after passing through. all water crossings along the way were fine.

equipment: nothing in particular.

comments: congratulations to val on completing the belknap 12. it was a beautiful day for this loop. some real nice walking in the belknaps. thanks to val, tim and mark for a great day.
