Date of Hike: Saturday, May 5th
Trails: Camp Dodge Bushwhack, Imp Trail (South Link), North Carter Trail, Carter-Moriah Trail, Wildcat Ridge Trail, Polecat Ski Trail, road walk
Trail Conditions: Imp Trail is wet and has running water in a few spots with rough footing in places but overall in good shape, same goes for the North Carter Trail. Some mud and standing water in spots (one is pretty big) between North Carter Summit and Carter Notch on the Carter-Moriah Trail with a couple of blowdowns near South Carter summit, the last few tenths to Carter Dome has snow a few feet deep in spots but is melting fast, traction is not required. Wildcat Ridge Trail is in good shape with a couple of muddy spots that aren't that bad, polecat ski trail has some just a few snow spots and is muddy in spots.
Special Equipment: none
Comments: Started off in the clouds and ended up with blue skies and high puffy clouds, excellent day in the Cats and Carters! Trip Report / Pictures
