Started the hike out of Appilachia on Air Line. Connected with the Randolph Path up to The Perch. Trails were in good shape despite some recent rain. The Randolph Path is a nice long gradual climb up with only a few steep sections. Saw a moose and her caf in the lower section so stay alert. The Perch is the best kept secret and in great shape. Plenty of water there too. Took the RP(combined with the Isreal Trail) all the way to Edmonds Col. Some nice views of the Castles as you get above treeline. Wind was gusty and pretty heavyl all the way above treeline to Jefferson. Fine views from Jefferson to Washington and over to Adams. From Jefferson to Adams the Gulfside trail is in good shape. The cairns are well mark so easy to follow. Lots of rock hopping. At Thunderstorm Junctions reconnected with Air Line up to the top of Adams. Trail is well marked and steep. Those with heavy packs be warned. The views from Adams were excellent. You can see Madison, Jefferson and back to Washington. From Madison hut i went down Valley Way. The trail is in decent shape but lots of water in the upper half running down the trail. Limited views. Overall the trail is well marked and a nice easy grade going down. Great overnight loop hike.
