Trails: Blueberry Ledge Trail, Blueberry Ledge Cut-off, Rollins Trail, Dicey's Mill

Conditions: Microspikes required for Blueberry Ledges, Rollins Trail, and approach to Passaconnaway summit. Heavy ice flows. Many tangled blowdowns on Rollins Trail. Excellent new stonework on Blueberry Ledge Trail. Conveniently, a large tree has fallen across the water crossing on Dicey's Mill Trail.

For the Trail Doggers: Caution needed now on Blueberry Ledge Trail with inexperienced or very large dogs - we had to assist our dogs up the ledges in one or two spots by carefully lifting them up to ensure they were in safe spots and could avoid the icy areas. This may be very difficult to manage with larger dogs or dogs who are stressed by being picked up.

Great day in the woods with Eric and Madison, Terra and Pemi. Many cars at Ferncroft, but only saw one other hiker all day. :)Hiked out under a thick blanket of stars. Way to go Pemi on 38/48.
