Date of Hike: August 2, 2013

Trails: Nineteen Mile Brook, Carter Dome, and Carter-Moriah Trails.

Trail Conditions: All trails were in great shape barring a few avoidable muddy patches. The worst was on the Carter Dome Trail and was hard to get around, but was doable. There were a couple of blowdowns on Nineteen Mile Brook Trail but they were easy-overs. There was also a bit of the Carter-Moriah Trail that we were on that had a soupy section that was more difficult to traverse. The stream crossings were easy.

Special Equipment Used: None (though poles can help with the crossings).

Comments: Hiked this one with a private group consisting of Randy Pierce, his wife Tracy, and guide dog the Mighty Quinn, his college friend John, Dana, Kyle, and Stef who joined me for this one. The day started wet but got super nice by the end. We all had a terrific time. This was Randy and Tracy's (and Quinn's) 46th three-season 48.
