couchsachraga... i remember there being a nice little bog like area where the trail seemed to go left but really went right, pretty wet and hard to distinguish what was floating and what was solid and this was during a dry period
the forest has a trail passing through it but then again if the forest is growing up around the trail (new growth) then its the other way around
if you are above the tree line on open rock there is no 'trail' in some cases you get to pick your own way across or up the rock
rainbow falls
anything avalanche lake
lake tear
skylight brook
view of colden from the trail leading down to lake colden
eastern view from summit of allen
Do you guys/girls know of any nice places to free climb or climb with ropes in the ADK's? All I know of are the Pitchoff Walls and possibly Chapel Pond. Thank you for your suggestions.
I went the first weekend in July and the mud wasnt as bad as I have heard. Its avoidable if you try but if you have gaitors and waterproof boots the mud really isnt bad. There is a false Times Square but just go left if you go right it takes you up Pnather.
oh well this hike ended up not happening do to weather but we ended up doing Big Slide from JBL and it poared. we passed a group on the way up and they said when they reached the summit they couldnt see anything adn 10 min after they got up there it cleared up and suprisingly the same thing...
Well I've already done LWJ, UWJ, Armstrong, and Gothics but i havent done Sawteeth. I'm just doing this hike so my uncle and cousin can get those first four. And i was just wondering the best order to include Sawteeth into the hike.
