The hike up Carrigain wasn't too bad. The first major stream crossing is difficult. We crossed a short section then bushwhacked to a down tree that we shimmed across. The most difficult part was going up an icy boulder on the trail. When we first came out of the tree's, we just caught a glimps of the summit tower. The upper part of the trail, probably the steepest part, was a mix of ice under snow and rocks. It was very windy on the summit tower and the stairs going up were icy. No views from the summit.
Going back down, I slid down most of the upper section, which was a blast.
