For me this whole thing started when ColdRiverRun had suggested I go for a SS ADKW46, but that was not my main priority as I am really interested in a NE111 winter round. There is so much that goes into a “project” like this that I do not even know where to start. From figuring out driving times to trailheads in New Hampshire from Vermont, elevation/mileage for given hikes and then pairing with other hikes for maximum efficiency all the while juggling working 60+ hours a week and starting a new relationship with the most wonderful woman it gets a little hectic. Somehow I am managing to pull it all off, solo to all peaks.....

Moosilauke 12/24/11

Beautiful day in the woods and on a great mountain. Only downside was losing my camera case with an extra battery and memory card in it at the trailhead after the hike. Oh well......

Lafayette 12/25/11

Worst winter conditions I have ever hiked in. Had to get off the mountain and not continue south down the ridge to complete the whole range. Makes turning around pretty easy sometimes when it's that bad out.....

Franconia Ridge, Part Deux 1/9/12

Got my chance to finish the job. I now call Lincoln “Revenge Mountain”! Met Wolfgang and he showed me some new trails, as well as giving me a ride back to my car. Thanks again!

Cannon 1/15/12

Freezing cold. -12 Fahrenheit to start and big winds up top made moving fast a necessity not just a preference.

Osceolas 1/15/12

Quick drive down 93 and the Kanc to grab these two; ran into Tom and Laurie Rankin with Paradox high on the ridge. Unfortunately tooooo cold to have lunch together!

Tripyramids 1/16/12

Slept in after freezing all day the day before, so these two worked out well. Back to Vermont early for a nice dinner out with “her”......

Want to see how strong you think you are? Break out little Isolation via Glen Boulder in 2-3 feet of snow! I slept well that night!

Wildcats/Carters 1/30/12

BigEarl and Sue helped me out with a car spot which was greatly appreciated. Wildcat “D” got me to the halfway point(24/48W), but I wasn't stopping there!

So almost halfway through winter, I am more than halfway through the list and still feeling good! Guess we'll see what the rest of the winter brings! :)

You have been burning up the trails!

Can't see your pics on Facebook, though. Maybe set the Privacy level on pictures to Public?

Thanks for the kind words and the heads up. I did it the lazy way; all fixed now. Spent some time on your boy Brutus' path yesterday, and had a toast to you both (Gatorade lol)!!!! :)

What's the old saying? "Necessity is the mother of Invention"? That's the origin of the BB.

And good luck on your quest. Am amazed at how many people are now doing the Winter 4's in one season. I may have a few rounds left in me once I'm back.
