Advantages to Winter.

In the winter I have experienced a silence that I've never experinced any other time in my life. It happens when I'm high on a mountain when the snow is falling and there is no wind.

True Reekee............. except on Mt Tecumseh or trails around ski areas like the Wildcats or Cannon in the Whites.

Reekee,we learned this the hard way last December,when we woke up on the summit of north Hancock,greeted by 30" of snow from a storm that was supposed to pass south of us.

Oh sure,we have snowshoes....in the car at the trailhead!
