Trail Conditions: Trail in great shape going up OBP all the way to Lafayette, and beyond. Windblown / icy from above hut to Little Haystack, as expected. Franconia Ridge trail now broken to Osseo Trail - was told Osseo is broken all the way as well. Flume slide in good shape - broken but not solid -- good traction and no ice aside from the 2 bumps.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes required and crampons highly recommended
Comments: ran into several VFFT people on this hike, sorry bad memory. Wind was the biggest factor but acceptable and diminishing as the day went on. Descended Flume Slide only after a good review by a bunch who had recently just been up it. Not nearly as hard as I was thinking it would be but please realize the conditions could change drastically and then this would be a very bad trail to take downhill.
